Faber and Faber Lord of the Flies

O komikse v slovenčine:

"Briliantné a vzrušujúce." RACHEL COOKE, Observer

"Nádherná predstavivosť, ponorí vás do horúčavy trópov svojimi detailmi a paletou a pôsobí tak sugestívne a relevantne. Fenomenálne." CHRIS MOULD

"Rovnako pútavé a evokatívne ako Goldingov svetotrepúci majstrovský kus." Comics Review

Pred The Stand a The Hunger Games, pred Battle Royale a Yellowjackets, tu bol Pán múch.

Lietadlo sa zrúti na púštny ostrov. Jedinými preživšími je skupina školákov. Cez deň skúmajú oslňujúce pláže. V noci sú strašení nočnými morami o primitívnom zvierati a o tom, čo stratili.

"Nikde nie sú žiadni dospelí."

Osirelí spoločnosťou, musia vytvoriť svoje vlastné spoločenstvo, ale netrvá dlho a skupina sa rozdelí a ich nevinné hry sa uberú nebezpečným smerom.

"Čo sme? Ľudia? Alebo zvieratá?"

Po prvýkrát, od uznávanej umelkyne Aimée de Jongh, prichádza úžasná komiksová adaptácia tohto klasického príbehu, jedného zo 100 románov BBC, ktoré formovali náš svet.

O komikse v angličtine:

'Brilliant and thrilling.' RACHEL COOKE, Observer

'Beautifully imagined, it immerses you in the heat of the tropics with its detail and palette and feels so poignant and relevant. Phenomenal.' CHRIS MOULD

'Just as compelling and evocative as Golding's world-shaking masterpiece.' Comics Review

Before The Stand and The Hunger Games, before Battle Royale and Yellowjackets, there was Lord of the Flies.

A plane crashes on a desert island. The only survivors, a group of schoolboys. By day, they explore the dazzling beaches. By night, they are haunted by nightmares of a primitive beast and of what they've lost.

'There aren't any grown-ups anywhere.'

Orphaned by society, they must forge their own; but it isn't long before the group is split, and their innocent games take a dangerous turn.

'What are we? Humans? Or Animals?'

For the first time, from acclaimed artist Aimée de Jongh, comes the stunning graphic novel adaptation of this classic story, one of the BBCs '100 Novels that shaped our World'.
